In May of 2010 Shane started fundamentals at Grapevine CrossFit and immediately knew that he had found what he was looking for. After working in a family business for 20 years, he decided to make a career change. Shane got his Level 1 Certification in February of 2011, and shortly after started coaching at Grapevine CrossFit. He continued his education by completing his Olympic Lifting Certification in November of 2011. He now regularly competes in local competitions. As much as he loves the workouts and physical accomplishments, it’s the people that Shane meets and sees every day that he truly loves about CrossFit.

Lizzi Fogolini, Coach
An active and adventurous life have always demanded some level of fitness from Lizzi…youth sports, martial arts, and many other exciting challenges offered up by Mother Nature…from land to sea! In 2011, she turned to CrossFit as a way to turn her speed and strength “up a notch” for the many obstacle races she was participating in at the time. She realized that this form of “functional fitness” not only encompassed all the attributes she was looking for in a fitness plan, but would challenge her to new heights. Her passion, as well as her mission, is to give to others what CrossFit has given her…an opportunity to empower people seeking to improve their fitness levels and to be a part of changing their lives. Lizzi is an accredited CrossFit Level 1 Trainer and also holds a Bachelors degree in Business Administration from the University of Houston.
Casey Taylor, Coach
At age three Casey began tumbling classes and after a couple years joined on a team. By age 7 she was competing regularly. She also began competitive and school cheer-leading from 13-18. After graduating high school she was an assistant for a competitive Christian cheer squad. Once high school sports ended so did the love, dedication and drive for athletics; Casey lived with a serious void in her life.
In March 2012 she was introduced to CrossFit by her brother. She fell in love with the sport, the gym and the people at Grapevine CrossFit. Casey was honored to contribute with GVCF’s Team at the 2013 south Central Regionals. She is also a Level 1 Certified Trainer. She loves that CrossFit is so universal that any and everyone can do it. Casey loves this community of people coming together to better themselves and encourage one another during mentally and physically challenging workouts
